Heat Transfer and Idler Rolls |
Heat transfer rolls
are designed and manufactured to the quality standards of the ASME Code for pressure vessels. Certified welders fabricate the
rolls with the best available materials. Experienced machinists
using modern equipment finish each roll. One hundred percent
inspection and testing assure quality in every detail.
Heat transfer rolls are available in single or double
shell configuration. They are also available with a spiral flow
path in the double shell rolls. This spiral forms a sealed path
between the inner and outer shell. This technology produces a
constant product temperature across the face of the heat
transfer roll. Normally, surface temperature variations on our
spiral heat transfer roll will not exceed +/- 1 degree
Fahrenheit.
Ceramic coated rolls provide superior hardness,
durability, abrasion, corrosion, and chemical resistance. The
high density surface has a hardness of 68-72 Rc and very low
coating porosity. Even though it is initially more expensive
than chrome finishes, the ceramic coating reduces your overall
costs. The longer life of the finish will reduce your downtime
and improve your product quality.
All rolls can be coated with our composite coating.
This material is a composite ceramic and release agent that
provides the superior wear and corrosion resistance of ceramic
with high release properties. This coating is ideal for
extrusion applications that need to minimize tacky cooling
surfaces.
Idler rolls for all web handling applications are
available. They can be chrome plated or plasma coated with
ceramic for abrasion resistance.
Rubber coated heat transfer rolls are available with
most polymer coatings.
Engraving patterns are available from most engraving
companies. We can coordinate the application of the engraving
pattern of your choice on our heat transfer roll core to give
you a single supply source.
