Our tool shop is fully equipped for the manufacture and assembly of complex
progressive or one-out dies. Our tool and die makers have a total of 122 years
experience at using their skills.
Equipment available to them includes:
- (2) Okamoto 16 X 32 DX hydraulic surface grinder
- Okamoto 12 X 24 hydraulic surface grinder
- TOS Universal ID/OD cylindrical grinder 16 X 60
- (8) Okamoto 6 X 12 surface grinders
- Blanchard No. 18 surface grinder with 36 chuck
Our tool shop also has the capability of EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining)
available. One of our own tool and die apprenticeship graduates has over 12
years experience using this machining process. This allows us to create complex
parts to exacting tolerances for dies and molds.
We have these machines available for use:
- Japax LU3B Wire EDM 6 X 8 X 14 with full tapering
- Japax LDM50 Wire EDM 10 X 12 X 20 4-axis
- Mitsubishi M25J CNC Sinker EDM 8 X 10 X 10
- Mitsubishi FX20K Wire EDM 12 X 20 X 10 4-axis
Our
machining capability has been enhanced by the continuous addition of CNC mills
and lathes. Many of our operators have been factory trained to program and
set-up these versatile tools.

Many other manual
machines are in use in our shop. This includes knee mills, lathes, drill
presses, band saws and other items too numerous to list.
We also have a complete selection of gauging and inspection equipment. This
equipment is inspected and calibrated annually according to our in-house
Quality Assurance Program. |
