Abbottstown Industries was founded in 1973 as a tool and die shop. To better serve our customers, we have added other services to our capability. These include an engineering department, a complete fabrication facility, and 3 horizontal boring mills. To accomplish this, we have added to our building four times and increased our work area from 6,500 to over 30,000 square feet.

     We realized this was of little value without skilled and qualified employees. Therefore, we introduced a state sanctioned apprenticeship program for machining and tool and die work. Since its introduction, 16 state certified machinists and tool and die makers have graduated. Currently, 3 of our employees are benefiting from this training. Most of the employees in leadership roles are graduates of this program.

     We have approximately 40 employees that possess the skills necessary to carry out their individual responsibilities. This has allowed us to build an excellent record of satisfying our many and diversified customers.
